                                  Original "Calico" het. Patternless Female
Back in 2009 I purchased a pair of het. Patternless from a breeder in the Daytona National Breeders Expo. Back then I had just gotten into fat tails, and did not see anything different in the female. The 2009-2010 Breeding season came along. I bred the pair of het. Patternless together and I produced 3 Patternless, 3 "Calico's," and 4 normal looking babies. Which leads me to think this might be some sort of dominant or co-dominant trait.

Calico is what I have coined the project.

I ended up with 2.1 "Calicos", back then I did not quite catch on and did not notice that I might have something special on my hands. I sold one of the males. The other males is at a friends facility, but is not as extreme as the female I kept and the first male I sold.

The Calicos as from what I have seen, have a completely different pattern and color "variation". They have creamy yellows and chestnut color, along with spotting, and the all important neck stripe.
